Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, vice-chancellor Prof Dr Parveen Shah felicitated Nobel Laureate Malala Yousufzai. “Malala has promoted a soft image of Pakistan in the international community,” she said, adding that her efforts to promote education and peace, especially female education in Swat and its adjoining areas, deserved great admiration and were a matter of honour, dignity and pride for Pakistan. “Her award is a crushing defeat for extremism and terrorism,” Dr Shah further said. “She has sent a message to the world that the pen is mightier than the sword.”
