NA-118: LHC rejects petition seeking recount of votes
Court says it cannot interfere in election tribunal's matters; PML-N MNA Muhammad Riaz Malik had filed the petition

Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday rejected a petition filed for recounting of votes in NA-118 Lahore, Express News reported.
A single-member bench of the high court rejected the plea, which was filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Muhammad Riaz Malik, saying that the court cannot interfere in election tribunal's matters.
In the petition, Malik had said that 211 bags of votes found for NA-118 constituency should be counted as well.
In the May 11 general elections last year, Malik had won the seat receiving 103,346 votes while runner-up Hamid Zaman from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had received 43,616 votes.
