Three men gunned down

An estate agent was shot dead at his residence in Arz Muhammad Goth

Three people, including an estate agent, were shot dead in separate incidents across the city on Friday.


An estate agent was shot dead at his residence in Arz Muhammad Goth within the limits of the Manghopir police station. The deceased was identified as 40-year-old Qurban Ali Rind, son of Pasand Ali. Initial investigation suggests that armed men barged into his house and opened fire at him. He was shot at least seven times and died on the spot. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The police said that the deceased hailed from Nawabshah and was apparently killed over a personal enmity. No case was registered till the filing of this report.

In an unrelated incident, a rickshaw driver identified as Sultan, 28, son of Ahmed Din, was shot dead within the limits of the New Karachi Industrial Area police. The police claimed that the deceased used to live in Lassi Goth, New Karachi.

They added that a man riding a motorcycle shot and killed him near his residence. The motive behind the killing has yet to be ascertained. Separately, Akram, 42, son of Muhammad Ramzan was shot dead near Baba Morr within the limits of the Surjani police station. Police officials said that the deceased hailed from Punjab and used to live in the same area. They added that the incident might have occurred over a personal enmity. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for the autopsy.
