An economist Dr Touseef Akhtar said the construction of dams is vital for fulfilling energy needs of the country at this moment. He said the Dasu and Diamer-Bhasha dams are essential for Pakistan. “The construction of both dams will not only fulfill the water needs of the country but also help overcome the energy crisis. The country has achieved economic stability due to positive policies of the government.
