Hack attack: PPP website defaced over Bilawal’s remarks on Kashmir
Image of an Indian flag and a message addressing PPP leader was placed on the site
“Avenging” Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) patron-in-chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vow to take back all of Kashmir from India, Indian hackers on Wednesday hacked the PPP’s website. An image of an Indian flag and a short message addressing Bilawal were placed on the defaced site.
The message mockingly questions the party’s patron-in-chief’s statements on Kashmir, saying, “To citizens of Pakistan, Pakistan’s army, Pakistan Peoples Party and specially Mr Bilawal Bhutto. Without any violence let me tell you that Pakistan will never get Kashmir. This is the truth. You have to accept it.”
In addition to the message, memes – images or catchphrases – mocking Pakistani politicians were also featured on the page. One meme, for instance, referred to politicians as it commented, “Not able to control their own country and want to take entire Kashmir from India.” A hacking group Black Dragon claimed responsibility for the defacement.
On September 20, while speaking to party workers at the residence of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani in Multan, Bilawal said, “I will take back Kashmir, all of it, and I will not leave behind a single inch of it because, like the other provinces, it belongs to Pakistan.”
