Eidul Azha arrangments: Governor visits various areas to inspect municipal work

Dr Ishratul Ebad also visited the computerised monitoring centre in District Central

KARACHI:
Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has expressed satisfaction over the performance of municipal staff of district Central during the Eidul Azha holidays. The governor, accompanied by Karachi administrator Rauf Akhtar Farooqui, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) municipal services director Masood Alam and other officials visited various areas in the city to check the performance of municipal workers of the KMC and DMCs.

The governor particularly visited areas in District Central to inspect the municipal workers performing ridding the areas of offal and disposing them off at the designated sites. He inquired into people's complaints regarding delays in offal lifting and expressed satisfaction over the immediate resolution of the complaints.

During the visit, the district central municipal administrator Syed Kamal Ahmed and municipal commissioner Kamal Mustafa briefed the governor regarding the staff's performance.


According to them, District Central officials had been on duty round-the-clock during the Eid holidays. They offered their services with full commitment to provide relief to the people.

Later, the governor also visited the computerised monitoring and complaints centre of DMC Central as well as the offal dumping site at New Karachi Sector 11-1.
