For better hygiene: Cleanliness drive in district Central starts today
Debris will be removed from such places and buildings and walls will be repaired with the help of their occupants
KARACHI:
District Central deputy commissioner Dr Syed Saifur Rehman has announced to launch a month-long cleanliness drive.
The campaign, Clean District Central, aims to improve the aesthetic beauty of the area. The drive will be commenced by DC Rehman at his office at 12pm today (Thursday).
"Our aim is to make people realise that the responsibility of keeping the city clean does not lie with the government alone; rather it is equally shared by the citizens," said Dr Rehman.
During the campaign, officials will strive to ensure cleanliness in offices, educational institutes, hotels and factories.
It is the responsibility of the municipal administration to clean major roads and streets, but the cleanliness of private properties is the responsibility of its occupants, which must be fulfilled.
Debris will be removed from such places and buildings and walls will be repaired with the help of their occupants.
