GUJRANWALA: Express News correspondent from Gujranwala Yaqoob Shehzad was shot dead on Sunday, Express News reported.

Shehzad was sitting in a showroom when unidentified armed men entered the office and opened fire. Shehzad was shot thrice and killed, while one person sitting next to him was injured.

Condemning the killing, the DPO said police have reached the site and were collecting evidence from the showroom. Police will also talk to the injured man once his condition is stable.

Shehzad had been working with Express News since the channel started. He was also the chairperson of the city’s press club.

Just to save its precious vote bank the present government harbors and refrains to take action against hardened criminals and religious zealots. The fruit of all this is evident all over the country. To top it off when the brave forces take decisive action against such elements their is hardly any political support. Wonder how many more sacrifices will it take to rid the country of such incompetence.
