Bad Judgement: ‘There never was a third umpire’
Abid Sher Ali says govt would continue to work for welfare of people
FAISALABAD:
State Minister for Water and Power Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali said on Saturday that those who had hoped that the government would be overthrown by a “third umpire” had been disappointed. Talking to newsmen after holding an open court at Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) headquarters, he said the government would continue to work for the welfare of the people. “Those who led marches to the capital have been exposed and people have rejected their politics,” he said. “Now these leaders are trying to save face by telling more lies,” he added. He said the sit-ins in Islamabad had caused huge damage to the national economy. He said political leaders should play an active role building the state. “Those who aim to hijack the mandate given to the government are not sincere with the people of the country,” Abid Sher Ali said. He said that the government was making all efforts to minimise load shedding.
