Freedom: 150 granted bail by courts ahead of Eid
Around 300 under-trial prisoners had moved applications to get bail in order to celebrate Eid with their families

Various city courts on Saturday granted bail to 150 prisoners in various cases ahead of Eidul Azha.
Around 300 under-trial prisoners had moved applications in courts to get bail in order to celebrate the Eid with their families.
The court accepted the requests of 150 of them. They have been directed to submit Rs50,00 bail bonds each.
Court orders action against ASI
A local court on Saturday directed the capital city police officer (CCPO) to take action against an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) working at Shadbagh station.
ASI Mansur is accused of keeping a woman and her two daughters in illegal detention at the station. The three women were released by a court bailiff.
Nadeem, the petitioner, had earlier requested the court to free his mother and sister from Shadbagh police station.
Police said that the women had been taken into custody after one of their relatives registered a complaint against them, accusing them of theft.The court set the women free and directed the CCPO to take action against the ASI and submit a report in the court within 10 days.
