Security forces have so far picked up 70 persons from various areas of the city for questioning
QUETTA:
Police and security forces have detained 29 persons from Killi Kirani and Ethiad Colony in Quetta on Friday morning in connection with the hand grenade attacks on shops which killed four people and wounded more than a dozen people. Security forces have so far picked up 70 persons from various areas of the city for questioning. The suspects arrested from Killi Kirani and Ethiad Colony were brought to Brewery Police Station for interrogation. “Police have released some people after quizzing them,” an official said adding that they were questioning people only for acquiring background information in the case. Meanwhile, Balochistan National Party (BNP) condemned the search operations and said the raids had been carried out at the residence of innocent people. “BNP’s activists are being arrested. Our people are being killed in targeted killings and our activists are being harassed,” BNP Information Secretary, Agha Hassan told a news conference.
