Reconciliation evangelist: Sharif uneasy despite parliament’s backing says Sirajul Haq

Jamaat-i-Islami will hold public rally at Minto Park in November

LAHORE:

Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) ameer Sirajul Haq said on Friday that the current political deadlock with the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf had left Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif extremely uneasy.

He said that the situation had perturbed the prime minister despite the unanimous support of all members of the parliament as the sit-ins at Islamabad’s D Chowk had almost paralysed political and economic activity in Pakistan and had left scores of people jobless.

The JI ameer was addressing a large congregation of supporters during Friday prayers at Mansoora.

He said that the sit-ins in Islamabad had damaged Pakistan’s international image.

Haq said that the crisis had disillusioned the people of Pakistan.

He said that the clash of partisan interests had completely relegated public service to the background.

Haq said this had previously resulted in the separation of East Pakistan.

He said that the proposals of the political jirga had been framed in the best interest of the government and the opposition.

Haq said that the people had lost hope but his party [Jamaat-i-Islami] would work hard to restore their faith in Pakistan.

The JI chief said the Jamaat-i-Islami was preparing to hold a massive rally at Minto Park in November.

Haq said that the party was organising the rally to revive the original spirit of the Pakistan movement and to shape the country according to the vision of its founding fathers.

Sirajul Haq said that the current law and order situation in Afghanistan was inextricably linked to the political situation in Pakistan.

Haq said that warfare and civil strife had ravaged Afghanistan for more than 40 years.

He said that the time was ripe for Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to start negotiations with Afghan Taliban supreme leader Mullah Omar and Hezb-i-Islami’s Gulbuddin   Hekmatyar in order to usher in an era of peace and prosperity in Afghanistan.

When no one is reliable in thd country then who will solve the mess . It means they are now waiting for the third party intervention . At present the third party is defintly not the army as it is already engaged with those who are close associate of PTI . It is for their interest the PTI attempted to choke the NATOs supply line .
