Death threats: Woman seeks action against husband
She said she had left him because he had taken to beating her over petty issues

An additional district and sessions judge on Friday sought comments from Shahdara police on a petition filed by a woman seeking registration of a case against her husband for threatening her to kill her. Shazia Bibi said she had married Muhammad Saeed a few years ago. She said she had left him because he had taken to beating her over petty issues. She said Saeed had now threatened to kill her if she did not return to him. She said Shahdara police had not taken up her complaint against Saeed. She requested the court to direct the station house officer to register a complaint against her husband.
