Free man: MPA Idrees acquitted by police
Khurarianwala police had registered a case against the MPA and nine others on charges of attacking at a police station

Police said on Thursday that Provincial Assembly Member Rana Shoaib Idrees had not been involved in attacking a police station, freeing a man from police custody and injuring police personnel. Khurarianwala police had registered a case against the MPA and nine others on charges of attacking at a police station, creating a law and order situation, rioting and injuring a sub inspector on July 19. The preliminary police report had identified the MPA as the main suspect. However, a second police report submitted to court on Thursday declared him innocent and put the burden of the attack on another man.
