Suspicious man was arrested during patrol on University Road near Safari Park

Police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested the alleged killer of a Karachi University student who was shot during a robbery bid on September 8. Aadi Atif, a student of Statistics Department, was going along with his mother, to pick up his father when two robbers intercepted their car near Safari Park. The robbers shot and injured Atif when he resisted them. Atif later died in the hospital. An official of the Gulhan-e-Iqbal Police Station said they picked up a suspicious man during patrol on University Road near Safari Park. “A .30 bore pistol and bullets were recovered from the suspect, Saeed Khan,” Sub Inspector Investigation Abdul Rehman said. He said that during interrogation the suspect confessed to killing Aadi Atif.
