Shady distribution : Veterinary centre head arrested

The police spokesman said 500 bags of cattle food had been given to the centre for distribution among flood victims.

Police on Monday arrested head of a veterinary centre on charges of misappropriating 200 bags of cattle food meant for livestock from flood-affected areas. A police spokesman said district monitoring officer Khalid Raju and a tehsil veterinary officer Imran Hameed Gujjar raided the centre at Haq Bahoo village and recovered 200 bags of fodder stashed away by the in charge. Muhammad Zaheer, the incharge, was arrested. The police spokesman said 500 bags of cattle food had been given to the centre for distribution among flood victims. He said 300 bags had been distributed.
