SSUET admissions: 5,000 candidates appear in entry test

As many as 5000 candidates, including a large number from Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, appeared in the pre-admission entry test for the bachelor's degree programmes announced by Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) for the academic year 2015, held at Karachi Expo Centre.
Results will be announced in December and may be checked on the SSUET noticeboard and the university website. Classes for the new batch will start from January 3.
SSUET chancellor Muhammad Adil Usman visited the examination centre and praised the arrangements for the test. He said that SSUET prepares professionals with extraordinary skill and outstanding ability.
Meanwhile, vice chancellor Prof Dr Syed Jawaid Hussain Rizvi said that they had introduced a new electrical engineering department and programmes in software engineering, architecture and bioinformatics for the new academic year.
