Adiala: Police, suspect’s accomplices trade fire
A case has been registered and further investigation is under way.
RAWALPINDI:
A police team and two accomplices of a prisoner exchanged fire outside Adial Jail after they attempted to break free the prisoner. A Sargodha police team was waiting outside the prison to take the inmate, who was to be released from the jail, into custody in another robbery case, when the two accomplices opened fire on the police. The police retaliated and arrested a man identified as Dawood. One of the attackers escaped during the exchange of fire, the police said. A case has been registered and further investigation is under way.
