Army chief pays visit to forces deployed in forward localities along the LoC near Jhelum

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has appreciated the morale and operational preparedness of troops deployed along the Line of Control (LoC), said an ISPR statement on Friday.

The army chief was paying a visit to the forces deployed in forward localities along the LoC near Jhelum, and was briefed by local commanders on the prevailing security situation of the area.

While interacting with the troops, General Raheel expressed complete satisfaction on the state of readiness and vigil maintained by the forces.

"The entire nation is proud of the soldiers deployed in defence of the motherland", he said.

He reiterated the resolve that any provocation along the LoC would be responded effectively.
