Nine militants arrested in Islamabad raid
Security forces tipped-off about the presence of suspected terrorists in Sector G-10 of Islamabad
ISLAMABAD:
At least nine suspected terrorists were arrested in a raid carried out by security forces and police in Islamabad, Express News reported.
According to initial media reports, the security forces were tipped-off about the presence of terrorists in Sector G-10 of Islamabad.
The security forces carried out a raid in a mosque in the area, arresting nine militants. Further, it is being reported that the arrested individuals belong to Swat and Bajaur Agency.
Security has been heightened since the beginning of sit-ins in the federal capital. Earlier this year, 11 people were killed in an attack at a court in capital.
Gunmen burst into the court complex and opened fire before at least two suicide bombers detonated explosives.
