Sirajul Haq to embark on mass public contact campaign in Sindh

Haq’s 3-day visit of lower Sindh districts will be followed by similar tour of upper Sindh from Oct 17 till 19

KARACHI:

Leader of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sirajul Haq will embark on a mass contact campaign in Sindh province today (Friday) in what is the first extensive tour by any JI chief since 1988 when Qazi Hussain Ahmed led  the Karwan-e-Dawat-o-Mohabbat when lingual bias was enflamed in Karachi.

Six months after his appointment as the JI chief, Sirajul Haq’s three-day visit of lower Sindh districts will be followed by a similar tour of upper Sindh from October 17 till 19. “Like the impoverished and deprived populace in other provinces, the people of Sindh are also striving to overthrow their oppressors,” said the JI chief while talking to the media upon his arrival to the Talent Expo 2014 organsied by the Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba at Karachi Expo Centre, where he distributed prizes and awards amongst position-holder students. “I am setting out to achieve the unison of these depressed – the disintegrated poor and the helpless, because their tyrants are united.”

The JI chief added that the oppressors, who he termed the “remnants of colonial rulers,” were similar far and wide.
