Floods: PTCL provides relief to flood affected

PTCL has also extended support to the local administrations to provide providing humanitarian assistance

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) is taking part in the relief activities in the flood-affected areas. The company has set up medical camps for the affected population in Gujranwala, Gujrat, Jhang, Faisalabad, Multan, Narowal, Sialkot, Sahiwal and Chiniot districts, informed a press release. PTCL has also extended support to the local administrations to provide providing humanitarian assistance to the affected people. “Medicines worth approximately Rs2.5 million have been provided to the affected families. Additional support through delivery of necessary food items and relief goods worth approximately Rs5.5 million have also been distributed in Gujranwala and Jhang districts,” the release stated. The relief activities are being undertaken by PTCL volunteer teams, which are coordinating and carrying out these activities in liaison with local authorities.
