‘Honour’ restored: Woman killed for eloping
A case was registered against them.
CHARSADDA:
A woman was killed while a man was injured on Sunday. Umerzai police official Sher Akbar said Shaheen Bibi eloped from her house with Hazrat Wali. A jirga was convened to sort out the issue. When the couple went to Shaheen Bibi’s house to solve the dispute, her father Ghulam Sarwar and brothers Muhammad Ayub and Imran opened fire on them, killing Shaheen Bibi on the spot and injuring Wali. The official added the accused managed to escape. A case was registered against them.
