RAWALPINDI:
Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has confiscated goods from different markets in its campaign against encroachments. According to an RCB spokesperson, the clean-up operation against encroachments has intensified in RCB-controlled areas. He said encroachments were removed during the last two days from Naseerabad, Alahabad, Tench Bhatta and other areas and five trucks worth of goods were confiscated. The board’s anti-encroachment teams also removed 29 illegal billboards while four shops which were established in residential areas have also been sealed. “The goods confiscated would not be returned to the shopkeepers at any cost. Rather, these will be disposed of through a transparent auction,” he said.
