
Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Ahad Cheema said on Saturday that the governing body of the authority had decided to increase the area to be acquired for its LDA City project from 45,000 to 61,000 kanals.
He was chairing a meeting convened to review land acquisition for the project. Additional Director General Ammara Khan, Chief Metropolitan Officer Waheed Butt and representatives of Pak Estate, Paragon City, Urban Developers, Memar Housing Services and Alfa Estate were present.
Cheema asked them to expedite land acquisition in Kahna Kacha, Thay Panju, Sidhar, Halloke, Rakh Jhedu and Toor Warraich. He called for formulating long-term plans to provide basic amenities in the scheme. Officials concerned said the authority had started issuing exemption letters to those who had purchased plots from LDA’s partners.
