Kech blast: Security official killed, two wounded

QUETTA: A security official was killed and two others critically injured in a blast targeting vehicles of the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) in Kech district on Saturday. “Unidentified militants planted an improvised explosive device (IED) beside a road segment in the Dasht Beri area of Kech district,” a Balochistan Levies official said. “The IED was remotely detonated when FWO vehicles passed by the area,” he said. The investigators suspect the blast may have been carried out by Baloch Liberation Front (BLF). The group claimed responsibility for the bombing of an FWO vehicle on Thursday, which claimed the life of one security official.
