Inferno: Fire destroys two cloth shops
“It took three fire tenders around half an hour to douse it.”
KARACHI:
Two shops selling clothing material were completely destroyed in a fire on Saturday. The shops, located at Alam Market near Memon Masjid, Bolton Market, were burnt down due to the fire that erupted because of a short-circuit, said the chief fire officer, Ahteshamuddin. A few other shops in the vicinity were also partially damaged. “Although, the fire was not of high intensity, the shopkeepers could not control it due to the unavailability of water,” he said. “It took three fire tenders around half an hour to douse it.”
