Skill-based education: Technical training programme launched
The VU will be providing a learning management system offering an online self-learning experience.
LAHORE:
University of the Punjab has launched a one-year study programme in collaboration with the Virtual University (VU) of Pakistan and Technical University Kaiserslautern, Germany, as part of pre-service training for technical and vocational education teachers. The programme will offer bachelors in education (BEd) qualification in technical education.
The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) will implement the programme. A training workshop was arranged for instructors at the Davis Road campus of the VU. Uwe Wieckenberg, a German consultant for the workshop, and Ehsen Puri, the VU information and communication technology director, were part of the workshop.
