KARACHI:
A major terrorist activity was foiled after the bomb disposal squad (BDS) defused seven pressure cooker bombs placed in a graveyard in SITE on Friday. SSP West Irfan Baloch said that the police received information regarding the explosives dumped in the Kachra Kundi at around 5pm. They cordoned it off to keep people away from the explosives. The BDS was summoned to defuse seven magnetic improvised explosive devices kept in seven pressure cookers. The bombs weighed around 50 kilogrammes. The police also recovered three hand grenades and three pistols and bullets, along with a remote control and batteries. “The militants had dumped the explosives to use it later,” said Baloch.
