The track was reopened for traffic by 3am on Wednesday.

HYDERABAD:
The Karachi-bound Shalimar Express met with an accident. It hit a truck loaded with gravel near the Narejani stop late on Tuesday night. The train driver, Muhammad Zakir, sustained head injuries, while his assistant Muhammad Luqman was injured in the chest. The collision badly damaged the engine’s front, while the truck was reduced to pieces. Rahuki police officials said that the truck’s tyres had gotten stuck on the tracks and the train arrived before the truck driver could remove the vehicle. The injured men were taken to Civil Hospital and were discharged in a few hours. The track was reopened for traffic by 3am on Wednesday.
