Recovery : Teams formed to assess damage

The DCO said the Punjab government had provided Rs 100 million for each flood-affected district.

District Coordination Officer Saqib Manaan on Monday formed survey teams supervised by revenue officers to determine losses to crops, houses and livestock in flooded areas and directed them to complete the survey by September 18. Presiding over a meeting, the DCO said the Punjab government had provided Rs 100 million for each flood-affected district. He said almost 200 villages of Kotmomin, Bhera, Shahpur and Sahiwal tehsils and 135,000 acre crops had been affected by recent floods.
