Stabbed : Man injured for resisting robbery

The police registered a case against the thieves but no arrests or recoveries have been made yet.

A man was stabbed and injured while resisting a robbery in the limits of Cantt police on Monday.



Arif Ali and his wife, residents of Tench Bhatta, Rawalpindi, were going home after attending a wedding when three armed motorcyclists intercepted the couple near Transit Camp and snatched gold bangles from the woman, said an official who is party of investigation team.


They attacked Arif with a dagger when he tried to resist and later fled with the loot. He was taken to District Headquarters Hospital, where his condition is stated to be stable.


Meanwhile, in Wah Cantt, a house was burgled.

Muhammad Asad lodged a complaint with the Wah Cantt police stating that thieves entered his house on Laiq Ali Chowk by breaking its locks and took away Rs65,000 cash, a digital camera and other valuables.
