expansion: CDA starts construction in E-12
An official of the civic agency said the authority has now taken possession of land through an agreement.
ISLAMABAD:
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday started construction of the Service Road-East in Sector E-12 after taking possession of 1,300 kanals of land. The authority had launched Sector E-12 around 25 years ago but development work could not begin due to possession issues between the affected local population and CDA. An official of the civic agency said the authority has now taken possession of land from the affected people through an agreement. He described the agreement as a breakthrough for development work in Sector E-12. According to the agreement, the affected people will now be giving possession of the land in phases. The civic agency has so far allotted about 300 plots to the affected people in Sector I-12 in order to provide them with alternative piece of land.
