Islamabad court orders police to register FIR against PM, cabinet members
Decision comes in response to an application filed by PAT against the killings of Qadri's supporters on August 31

A court is Islamabad on Monday ordered police to register a First Information Report (FIR) against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and other cabinet ministers for the killings of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers on August 31, when clashes broke out between protesters and police in Islamabad's Red Zone.
District and Sessions Judge Raja Jawad Abbasi ordered the capital police to register an FIR against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Minister of Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique and Inspector General of the Islamabad Police (IGP).
The decision came in response to an application filed by PAT requesting the court to register case against top government officials, including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over killings of protesters in Islamabad’s Red Zone on August 31.
