Match fixing: Mohammad Amir ties the knot
‘Niakah’ ceremony was held in Lahore where only close relatives of the two families were invited
Banned fast bowler Mohammad Amir tied the knot with a Pakistan-born British girl Nargis in low-key event in Lahore, Express News reported.
According to Express News Correspondent Yousuf Anjum the ‘Niakah’ ceremony was held in Lahore where only close relatives of the two families were invited. Family sources revealed that Nargis is the choice of Amir.
Amir said currently he is going through a difficult phase of his life and Nargis would prove to be lucky for him.
No cricketer or celebrity was invited at the event.
Amir, 22, is facing ban from international cricket on the charges of spot-fixing, is also set to pursue an acting career in an upcoming film called Blind Love. “In the last couple of years, I had nothing to do. So when the well known film maker Faisal Bukhari approached me to be a part of the film, I accepted,” says Amir while talking to The Express Tribune.
