Syed Asad Haider Mashhadi of Mian Pervaiz Aslam Group has been elected unopposed president of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) for the year 2014-15.
The announcement of the newly-elected Senior Vice-President Mian Humayun Parvez and Vice-President Saboor Malik were also made. The newly-elected office-bearers will assume their positions on October 1.
According to the election commission, no nomination papers were received for three seats — president, senior vice-president and vice-president.
RCCI President Dr Shumail Daud Arain and group leader Sheikh Shabbir felicitated the newly-elected office-bearers and hoped the new body will leave no stone unturned for the betterment of the business community.
