PESHAWAR: An alleged militant was killed in an exchange of fire with Badhaber police on Frontier Road on Thursday. Police were patrolling the area when they were fired at from the direction of Khyber Agency. In the ensuing shoot-out, a militant was killed. His accomplices fled towards Akka Khel in Khyber, without taking the body. “He is a young man in his mid-twenties and an AK-47 rifle has been taken from his possession,” a Badhaber police told The Express Tribune. “However, we are yet to establish his identity.” He said another militant was also hit, but managed to get away with the help of his accomplices.
