Cattle raiding: Two robbers shot dead

BAHAWALPUR: Two robbers were shot dead in a standoff with villagers late on Tuesday near Kot Sabzal in Rahim Yar Khan. Five gunmen forced their way into Malak Ahmad’s house near Chak 210-P. They held the residents at gunpoint and took away five cattle. Ahmad and other villagers started chasing the robbers. The robbers and villagers exchanged gunfire. During the shootout, two of the robbers were killed. Their robbers then left the cattle and fled. Kot Sabzal police arrived at the scene and seized a pistol and a shotgun that belonged to the robbers. The bodies were taken to a hospital for post mortem examination.
