Party politics: KTC apologises but remains dissolved

Its main purpose is to deal with the party’s organizational matters and structure.

KARACHI:

According to party sources, the Karachi Tanzeemi Committee (KTC) has apologised to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s chief Altaf Hussain. The apology was brought under discussion in London on Wednesday. Sources claim that for all means and purposes the KTC has been dissolved.

The KTC was first formed in 2002 and is a body of 35 members. Its main purpose is to deal with the party’s organizational matters and structure.

Last week at a general workers convention, Altaf Hussain, announced that the KTC would be dissolved on request of the party workers who lambasted both the MQM’s Rabita Committee and KTC, claiming that party leaders only traveled in air conditioned cars and sat in nice offices, and did not care much about the plight of the workers.
