Politicking over polls : ‘Voters supported candidate, not PTI’

Imran Khan should not see this victory as a positive sign

PESHAWAR:
ANP’s parliamentary leader in K-P Assembly, Sardar Hussain Babak, said on Tuesday PTI should not be encouraged with its winning the by-election in D.I Khan as voters supported the candidate rather than the party. Babak recalled Javed Akbar Khan, who was disqualified over a fake degree, won the PK-68, DI-Khan-V seat with over 41,000 votes in the 2013 general elections, and now his son, Ehtesham, gathered 37,000 votes to emerge victorious. He said Imran Khan should not see this victory as a positive sign as people were fed up with the PTI sit-ins in the federal capital.
