Rebel activists have camped out in capital for weeks in a campaign to bring down government

SANAA:
Yemeni police shot dead at least one rebel activist on Tuesday when they opened fire on hundreds of protesters attempting to storm government headquarters, a protest organiser said.

"Police fired live rounds at protesters, killing at least one of them and wounding five," the organising committee member told AFP.

The rebel activists have been camped out in the capital for weeks in a campaign to bring down the government and reverse unpopular fuel price increases.
