ISLAMABAD: ‘We are trying to encourage foreign ministers of other countries to visit Pakistan and interact with the real Pakistanis, academia, students and civil society for the uplift of education sector’. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, expressed these views while delivering lecture at Quaid-e-Azam University on Thursday. The seminar, titled ‘Spiritual dimension in the era of globalisation’, was organised by the Faculty of Social Sciences of QAU, at the Defense and Strategic Studies Department.

The event was part of ‘distinguished guest lecture’ series planned to provide students an opportunity to discuss, debate and share ideas with experts of different fields.

The guest speaker, Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini, in his key-note address introduced some fundamental concepts of globalisation and its different aspects. He highlighted the need to use the interconnectedness of cultures for common good of the society.
