PTI chief Imran Khan is back on stage. He alleges that poison is being spewed against his party. Asks what are they doing that is causing the govt so much discomfort?
"I came into politics to safeguard the poor and the weak," he said.
Imran Khan asks Ahsan Iqbal to not lie and to explain how has PTI's demonstration caused Rs1 trillion worth of loss.
Imran points towards comments of the SC which said peaceful demonstrations was their right, and that they are not breaking any law.
On the other hand, the PTI chairman claims the government had killed many people and that he saw two protesters die in front of him.
Imran further alleges that they do not know exactly how many protesters had been killed since the govt covered up the real figure.
Imran Khan claims that in K-P they passed law of conflict of interest which mandated any elected representative cannot run a business.
He said four sugar mills owned by members in the government, they took money from the Trading Corporation of Pakistan for sugar they did not supply later.
"This has caused prices of sugar to rise from Rs45 per kg to Rs65 per kg," he said.
Imran claims Nawaz Sharif invested $320 million in Europe through Robert Hersch, of which there is no record.
He also points towards Flagship Investments under Hussain Nawaz who owns a flat in London worth Rs800 million.
"There is no accountability of this and no one in NA will ask about it either since opposition is also complicit."
Imran Khan says he went to court to prove allegations regarding Shaukhat Khanum were false.
However, he said, those in power are afraid of going to court to disprove allegations because they know truth will come out.

“I invite parliamentarians to come and see my container or ask those who’ve visited,” he adds.
Qadri says he will give the country an alternative economic policy.
"Borrowing should be from direct public consent and not 'secretive'. We want a transparent mechanism after ‘revolution’."
The PAT chief added that 70% of Parliamentarians were thieves and tax evaders. “We will close the doors of Parliament for all such people.”

Ahsan Iqbal says the government wants matters to be resolved as soon as possible as it wants to put an end to the political uncertainty in the country.
While talking to the media after meeting the negotiation committee of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Iqbal said the country’s economy was picking up before the sit-ins, but has suffered heavily since the protests began.
“We want load-shedding to end, and the economy to grow at a rate of 6-7%,” he added.
He argued that Parliament had evolved a consensus on the supremacy of law and Constitution, and this was ‘Naya Pakistan’.
“Poverty cannot end until there is economic and political stability,” he said.
Meanwhile, PAT president Raheeq Abbasi says negotiations with the opposition jirga cannot progress until PM Nawaz Sharif and CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif step down.
“We have already shown flexibility in talks,” he said.
“The report of the commission investigating the Model Town killing, formed by the chief minister, has not been published yet. A few leaked sections of the report point towards the role of the Punjab government in the incident.”

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, at the joint session of Parliament, says the PTI presented six demands of which five have been accepted.
“PTI gave its first written draft of demands on August 30.”
“A country’s capital cannot be held hostage,” he says, adding, the government from the very first day decided to resolve the issue through peaceful negotiations.
“Pakistan has suffered a major loss because of the sit-in. Three heads of states have cancelled or postponed their visits to the country.”
“Three of PTI’s demands are futuristic,” Dar adds referring to the demands for electoral reforms.
“Electoral reforms committee has started work but PTI has added two more demands to their existing demands.”
“The other two demands are regarding the judicial commission,” the finance minister elaborates.
“If massive rigging is proven then we have no right to stay, the whole cabinet will be dissolved.”
The finance minister says PAT’s demand of a national reforms committee is unrealistic.
Further, referring to PAT and PTI's demand of the resignation of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Dar says no one can be removed from their based on allegations. However, he adds if the allegations are proven, then those responsible will resign themselves as they have no right to stay.

Addressing the joint session of Parliament, Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique says PAT chief Tahirul Qadri and PTI chief Imran Khan are playing with the Constitution.
Rafique adds that Qadri preaches revolution but does not know its basics.
“Imran is using abusive language to degrade parliamentarians.”
Claiming that the PML-N is prepared to fight those who are against the democratic system, the railways minister says: “Unfortunately we came across politicians who are immature, and do know nothing but talking about rigging allegations.”
“The state can easily manage a few thousand people staging a sit-in but we don’t want to breed hatred,” he adds.
"The third umpire Imran is waiting for won't come," says Rafique.
Appealing to the protesting parties to end their sit-in and help flood victims, Rafique says Imran is mocking the situation by asking people to help during the day and come to the sit-in in the evening.
“Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Perviaz Khattak is imprisoned in a dharna jail,” he says, adding “He is a part-time chief minister and this is not how governments work.”
“Fast bowlers are not politicians,” he says urging Imran to make a decision whether he is a politician or a bowler.

@common man: Sir G - get up its too late, you have been dreaming for long
Enough is enough! Down with Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri. They are more interested in the politics of taking over illegally than caring for the the nation and its people.
Interesting, people think floods can be prevented. Humans are no match for fury of nature.you can try to prepare and lessen the damage. Rest is mostly wishful thinking convenient blame game.A few years ago city of Neworleans was almost destroyed by storms. With all the resources at its disposal US could not prevent it. Incidentally three spokespersons for NS sound like the famous characters from past movies....... You guessed it right. Ik tuk should declare victory get meaningful reform and move on. They both like hear their voice, cannot really say what it sounds to me like.....
At least resign from KP Assembly so that you can spend full time in dharna. Let somebody else rule there.
What Supreme Court needs to do is to take suo moto notice of dharnas. No one should be allowed to disrupt lives of people for any cause, period. Parliament needs to order army to clear roads from any dharnas as well as their containers and camps. And if dharna organizers are using women and children as shield then they be arrested and bused to their home town at the expense of dharna organizers. People of Pakistan should not be forced to foot the damage caused by dharna folks to state property – which is the property owned by people of Pakistan. Let those who provoked and cause damage to the property should pay for damages. Can can’t free ride on tax payers expense.
@Salman I sure hope you are being sarcastic otherwise you are one of those ignorant people who wish to live like slaves for the bhuttos and the sharifs. You prefer liars and cheats to be your leaders instead of ACTUAL Leaders!
I wonder what sacrifices most of these parliamentarians have given for Pakistan who stand against Imran Khan today. What contributions they have made for this country. What reforms/ improvements to our system have they brought in. They are full of lies and betrayal. Imran Khan is the one standing for common peoples' rights. He has done much much more for Pakistan than any of these "Democracy savers". Imran Khan, I love you for all you have done (and are doing) for this nation. Thank you :)
No matter what may come. We are not gonna leave IK alone. He is our Pride.
Sir G, Whenever you see such strong criticism from PML N, Than rest assure, That Imran has hit them hard in the chest...And Something very bad is going to happen to them.
Theses dharnas have certainly played a vital role in bringing about an awareness in the people of this country that how the taxes deducted from their hard earned money is being utilised in further upgrading the lavish living of already well settled politicians and their families. They have learnt how the parliamentarians have joined their hands in order to safeguard their vested interests - and most unfortunate the lesson has been learnt that the system is inflicted with corruption and it is certainly not an easy task to bring about a change. May Allah safe this nation and its people who want to see a better Pakistan - our hats off to PTI who atleast gave us a sense of vision to think and talk about the issues that would affect our generations in the times to come. This is the sole political party that has atleast given empowerment to a common man to believe in himself, raise the voice and take initiative to bring about a change- I see this as a milestone achieved by PTI and would like to thank this party for making this happen…..the process leading towards revolution has started - it will take time to reach the destination though; primarily due to the fact that there is scarcity of people who have a matured outlook, possess selfless and rational approach, who no more belief in the status quo and are willing to leave their comfort level to bring about a positive change and see this nation proper – the real identity of PTI supporters.
Minister for Railways,
Please go and and manage Pakistan railways, the organization which you are heading is one of the most inefficient, incompetent and bureaucratic organizations in the country. The promises which PML-N made to revive railways before coming into power have all fallen flat. Once you have actually revived Pakistan Railways (which I believe is impossible) then you can say whatever your want but right now you for in no position to lecture the Pakistani public.
May Allah help Pakistan to survive the recent floods and get the nation out of this political deadlock.
How can people like Saad Rafique become ministers?
BBC too bought by NS. Thats what ik and tuq will have you believe.
Dear IK, Please come out of container, live like human being. Untill y do not stand with public, struggled like BB u can not be a brilliant polition. Paying people, make gathering and staying on the 'others shoulders u shall be stuckup like now entering in to dark street. 'Mar Kha Ke be polished politition'.
Saad Rafiq is right....... and he has America to thank for that.
No one lies so brazenly and without an iota of shame as this Dhandli Rafique! There are videos on the internet showing him raiding women's polling stations to stuff ballots. Last shrieks of the dying order....
IK is the true voice of the nation. Status-quo forces have joined hands against IK. Thanks Imran Khan for waking this nation up. We will not let you down.
It is a great blessing of Allah that Imran is not Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Allah bless Pakistan. Allah bless Nawaz Sharif.
@Citizen26: These people are poor - you pay the poor and they will stay. have u see the lifestyle of a very poor man in Pakistan? Have you seen their houses? Have you seen how difficult it is for them to feed their family? Money can buy these poeple over unfortunately
@Jami: Even winning the world cup was all about himself - remember the speech?
@Tahir H: Imran is not ready to join hands. he is stubbornly wanting ONLY NS to resign. Why doesnt he offer a hand to make a better Pakistan with the government. Why doesnt he change things around for KPK and prove to Pakistan he can do what he "claims?"
All these politicians can not do any good to Pakistan. They have their own interest. Every party holding its ground in every province. They never would think like Pakistani. Sindhi, KPK. Baluchistan do politics on the basis of creating hate for Punjab the bigger province. Kala Bagh dam is for benefit of all nation but no body in other provinces wants to build it. MQM has strong hold in Karachi and they would keep the same condition no matter how much election reforms one does as its matter of their survival. Sindhi Landlords would not educate their people and keep them poor so that no body comes in front of them. Baluchistan Sardar are themselves keeping their people poor to keep them their slaves. So i have no hope regarding future of Pakistan.
Imran Khan - you have been judged and found lacking
Good Job Khan,
Imran Khan, Sheikh Rasheed and PTI have dismantled their own political future like nobody else could. At least the people had a first hand glimpse of the type of leader Imran Khan would have been. It would have been an unmitigated disaster if he were elected PM. Paying money to hire crowds is a shameful thing for a man claiming to change Pakistan.
Sitting in his luxury container while his supporters threaten police, throw stones and carry sticks by day and then dance by night? Sorry your words about supporting flood relief makes no sense Imran Khan. Make all the u turns you want. You are exposed and the sooner you take your container and the few thousand protesters home the better!
@H Chaudhry. I guess you misunderstood my comments; no one mentioned they don't have brain. Stupidity arises when people are blind to history and current situations. All I was saying, hopefully, the rest have more than what they and their likes do. By brain, I meant intellect i.e., ability to think, analyse, come up with solutions, make decisions for betterment for all, etc.; not just having a degree. If you don't see anything wrong in their comments (as in yours too, please read the suggestions you are making; how can a person with common sense expect corrupt institutions and leaders to put the country on right path?), by looking at Pakistan history and current situations, then there is no point in talking. Just a reminder to all, supporting the wrong is just like the one doing the wrong.
Country cannot be put on right course by applying patches (if I can even call it patches) by corrupt leaders. System needs to be cleansed from the core, which Imran Khan and Tahir Ul Qadri are standing for. May Allah help the righteous.
Who is the winner? I am not posing who will be winner rather asking who is the winner? Iqbal Hadi Zaidi
This is not the time to do politics. It was PTI and PAT that Chinese President could not come to Pakistan. PTI and PAT are happy as well as enemies of Pakistan. Shame for PTI and PAT.
go imran go.
Imran is always criticizing Nawaz Sharif. He is doing maximum character assassination of Nawz Sharif. Can he tell me what has PTI done in KPK. Condition of KPK is even worse than the ANP era.
Go Imran Go. Go Qadri Go.
PMLN has been in power since 1985 and still they are unable to take proper measures to avoid floods, make flood gateways, make reservoirs for floods. But these measured if would have been taken for the poor people, would have helped them but you cannot show them off in advertisement. What benefit is this to PMLN they needed more flyovers and metro buses, still the Lahore city is sunk and people are pining this on Imran Khan. Had this happened in KPK IK what have been taken to cleaners for that matter. India released the most flood water in our history, to make this flood situation happen, and our PM thanked him for offering his help for the flood victims, still people of Pakistan are blind on this situation.
I daily listen Imran Khan's speech. His speech is full of praising himself. Nothing new. His speech starts with the letter "I" and ends at the letter "I".
@LovePaksitan There is nothing wrong in their comments! Why is that if you don't agree with someone, that some one do not have brain. What kind of stupidity we are getting ourselves in.
Every one should have right to speak their mind and no one should claim a better brain because they don't agree.
That said, IK and TUQ have lost, they have few hundred people left that too either political workers (that every party can get) or Cult following slaves. There will be no resignation. There is no need to engage any further with these guys and electoral reforms should be underway. IK and TUQ should be forced in to areas where they don't disrupt the lives of people and businesses after which they can continue their dharna for next 4 years.
well done Imran Khan. keep it up. you have support of most of people in this country. we need a man like you who can stand all these crocks.
Bash IK: The honest man asking for free fair elections. Call it derailing democracy. Support NS and his cronies: Tax evaders, Loan Defaulters, Election riggers. Call it saving democracy.
Profound use of logic here by some Pakistanis.
I don't know how old, mature, and educated you guys are, but am AMAZED to read comments written by Saleem, Afrooz, H. Khan, Ahmed, and the likes. I hope majority of my country men/women has more of a brain than these guys do. It's like talking to the wall and showing serenity to blind. Please read your comments again and think about what you are writing. May Allah bless Pakistan with righteous leaders; the ones who know they are going to die one day and will be questioned by Allah, Aameen!!!
shame on IK and TUQ
Most of those commenting on this page are the privileged ones, fate has been kind for them, but this turmoil that we see is for those who are the under privileged (at least for now as it is claimed) so bear with patience and hope this could lead to betterment for the class who are struggling for last 67 years.
Day time help in sialkot ,take jehangir jet and evening in Islamabad .@Saf:
Go Nawaz Go.. For Allah's sake if not for Pak Nation
If people are paid protesters then why did governemnt blocked the roads? All the protesters seems to be very enthusiastic on streets infront of cameras? How can paid protesters stay for over 20 days in a row? No paid protester would remain patient for so long, doesn't sound logical at all.
I dont think so though that they are being paid to stay at Qadri's sit-in.some of them might be but havent heard of it.I know 2 ppl who have been there for more than a week and are back here for work in karachi. Both these brothers are doing a week alternatively
So much fed up with all this Dharna and TV Talk shows. Every body fighting in talk shows. I really wish that all these talk shows are ban on TV and there are only stage Dramas shown for nation to relax. For GOD sake end this Dharna. its making nation sick. I was supporter of Imran khan but i really wish that he make KPK best Province in Pakistan and then demand votes in Punjab. He has gained so much get government agreed on election reforms, bio metric voting etc and finish Dharna.
This is how the western media including BBC belittle people who do not follow their agenda or are protesting against their wishes/interest.
Best of luck Pakistan....
@H. Khan: pml-N ruling on punjab around last 15 years and you still blaming IM & Qadri for this flood disaster. why pml-N not invested in drainage system and build small dams in punjab????? Did IM & qadri asked them not to do the right job????
Protesters in Islamabad have told the BBC they were paid to join rallies for “three or four days” but are now being denied permission to return home.
So he is true to his claim ... providing jobs to unemployed poor
Now how shamefully BBC is on the way of Pakistani leadership's attitude and speaking Pakistani leadership's language......
Let's not forget - IK is struggling to benefit masses. Rid them decades of colonial rule wearing democracy hat. Those advising to call off dharna, should instead ask NS to accept demands so thatt they all join hands to build Pakistan
GOIMRANGO. YOU made our lives sick and losing public support day by day.Go please and focus on KPK development , Please don't handover whole KPK to NGOS.
What about all the container and road blocking in clifton block 3 Karachi? because of Bilwal House, it makes me one hour to get from Park tower to near south city hospital!!! What about us ?????
Imran, We are with you and those who are blaming you does not have moral courage to stand against the cronies. Do your best Allah(SWT) will help you and millions supporting you. Do not listen to the pseudo intellectuals.. Nasir Aziz
Imran Khan's manic expressions seem to get worse each day. It is dangerous to have such a man leading a nuclear-armed nation. He is imbalanced and changes his mind at the drop of a hat. The signs are not good at all.
@Hugh Slaman: Why not KPK govt lead by IK not saved dozen of lives during rencent rains in Peshawar city only? who restricted KPK govt to take corrective measures? who ask CM to come Islamabad and take part in dance ? Come on man, be rationale, it is not possible to clean dirt of last 15 years in 1 year only.... let the system continue and then evaluate..... projects are also necessary for the country economy!
Gentlemen, all this drama was staged to destabilize Punjab which was releatively good and progressing. Anti Pakistan forces used TUQ and IK for their vested interest with their agents in establishment they tried to create chaos in Punjab. Now people need to reject any calls from these tauts / puppets who created hattered in Punjab in the name of naya Pakistan. Is this naya Pakistan where dirty language used for opponents? is this naya Pakistan where all institutions are maligned in politics or want to use institutions for one person will? Conspirators failed to achieve the objectives therefore both these joker need to finish failed show and go to their graves which were dig by their supporters......we are happy with purana Pakistan and Punjab.
For all those Quakers who are even pining the floods on Imran Khan! Like all what is wrong with us is due to IK only.
PMLN has been in power since 1985 and still they are unable to take proper measures to avoid floods, make flood gateways, make reservoirs for floods. But these measured if would have been taken for the poor people, would have helped them but you cannot show them off in advertisement.
What benefit is this to PMLN they needed more flyovers and metro buses, still the Lahore city is sinked and people are pining this on Imran Khan.

Shame on us
Long Live IK
Go Nawaz Go@Hugh Slaman: What Punjab can do to build kala bagh dam ? tell me. Sindh, KPK is against it. If punjab wants to build then you people would say Punjab is doing it against wishes of other provinces. Dont hate Punjab in the name of politics.
"CJP, either order authorities to remove these containers, or we will remove it by force,” says Imran Khan. Threats and Orders. This shows how much respect you have for the Supreme Court.
Incidentally, when have you obeyed Supreme Court Orders.
@Hamza: Allah should bless Imran with some wisdom, he seems to have gone nuts. He thinks CJP works for him and will act according to his whim and fancy.
Go IMRAN GO !!
Go Nawaz Go
@Saleem: You're another victim-blamer. This government, and the entire political culture of which it is an expression, has made it impossible for people to get their rights without protests and sit-ins. The blame for any side-effects of these sit-ins falls squarely on all of the incompetent, corrupt politicians who have been looting Pakistan at the expense of its people for years.
@H. Khan: Why hasn't the government put in place the infrastructure needed to deal with floods? Couldn't NS spare some of the money from the billions of Rupees of loans he has signed for flood management, drainage, building dams? How long have the Sharifs been in power in the Punjab anyway? You are just blaming the victims. The blame should fall on those who make it necessary for people to protest to get their rights in the first place. The entire political culture in Pakistan is riddled with corruption, looting, and incompetence, making it necessary for people to hold sit-ins, which is their democratic right.
iK & Qadri already have workers out there to help with flood & IK spends daytime visiting while evenings in his dharna! But sadly government is a disgrace. It's not the 1st time it's flooded. But no they are too worried about safeguarding their sharif mills. Villagers are hopeless.
Down with Imran and Qadri.
IK has no clue of what he is talking about, yet he dreams of becoming the single source of truth for a country of 200 million. All credit goes to government for showing patience against madness.
It is Imran Khan who is contemptuously denying the right of the people of Pakistan to elect their leaders. Anyone with an ounce of common sense (missing in those who follow him) would understand this. Shame on the opposition for not realizing this right away, and thus not pressurizing the government to give this would-be king the "right" to trample of the democratic system of Pakistan with his hypocrisy.
"This man is rapidly degenerating into a raving foaming ideologue. " More appropriately, ...raving demagogue.
Go NAWAZ GO
The entire country is facing serious crises due to natural disaster ie Floods. And Mr Imran Khan and Mr Qadri are busy in Islamabad diverting governments energy. What a pitty; these guys with their workers should be in Punjab helping out the affected persons of flood.
GO NAWAZ GO!
NS and PML(N) are curbing their natural instincts to react and react with force. The last time they did this we had Model Town and that gave a platform for Qadri to invade the capital. By staying passive and letting the institutions like the Army and the Court to deal with IK, they are only frustrating Imran. Confused and confounded he is now desperate and throwing everything in the kitchen sink at Nawaz - who is still smiling and patient. He has also held back all the PML talking heads from saying anything against PTI. Slowly but surely the tide will start favoring the prime minister again.
The longer the dharna goes, the weaker IK will get as the public will lose patience and faith in this claims. This is a master strategy at work. Just wait and watch. :)
descent into insanity Now that the negotiations are probably going to conclude, IK wants to open a new front and create new problems. Yesterday it was about Article 62/63 enforcement in the parliament, today it is about containers. This man is rapidly degenerating into a raving foaming ideologue. It is good that the country is getting to see his dark side. This way we get to keep him out of power for good.
What Supreme court needs to do is to take suo moto notice of dharnas. No one should be allowed to disrupt lives of people for any cause, period. Parliament needs to order army to clear roads from any dharnas as well as their containers and camps. And if dharna organizaers are using women and children as shield then they be arrested and bused to their home town at the expense of dharna organizers.
People of Pakistan should not be forced to foot the damage caused by dharna folks to state property - which is the property owned by people of Pakistan. Let those who provoked and cause damage to the property should pay for damages. Can can't free ride on tax payers expense.
IK do not have these containers removed as weather is expected to be inclement and possibly hail is expected. If you remove these containers where are the workers going to take shelter?
Imran may Allah always bless you.
