No one can force: Nawaz to resign: Asfandyar
ANP leader said his party also had reservations regarding general elections but they accepted the results.
CHARSADDA:
Awami National Party Central President Asfandyar Wali Khan said on Monday no one can make Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resign.
“Nawaz Sharif is the elected prime minister of the country and no one can force him to resign,” said Khan at an ANP’s workers convention held in Charsadda.
The ANP leader said his party also had reservations regarding the 2013 general elections but they accepted the results in the nation’s interest. However,he added, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has started protesting against alleged rigging after a year has passed.
ANP will resist any unconstitutional move against democracy, he added.
“The nation is currently facing a crisis due to floods. It would be better for Qadri [chief of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek] and Imran Khan to end their dharnas,” said Khan.
