Young artists: SIUT holds third painting exhibition
The paintings were full of creativity and reflected the rich imagination of the children.
KARACHI:
The third schoolchildren’s painting exhibition, followed by a prize distribution ceremony, was organised by the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) at Dewan Farooq Medical Centre on Saturday. The theme of the exhibition was ‘Good Health is the Key to Happiness’. More than 650 paintings were displayed. Schoolchildren between the ages of six and 16 participated in the exhibition. Their works were judged by Anwar Maqsood, Nilofur Farrukh and Rumana Hussain. The paintings were full of creativity and reflected the rich imagination of the children. Exhibition coordinator Dr Fatema Jawad also paid rich tributes to two great friends of SIUT: educationist Anita Ghulam Ali and water-colourist Chris Abbas, who donated her corneas when she died.
