Property Dispute: ‘My cousin posing as my father’s son’

An additional district and sessions judge on Thursday sought comments from Kahna station house officer on a petition filed by a woman seeking a case against a relative who allegedly falsified information on his national identity card. Petitioner Sughra Yousaf told the court that Mehar Ishtiaq, her cousin, had falsified information on his national identity card and claimed that her father Muhammad Ibrahim was his father.
She said he got her father’s thumb impressions on stamp papers and had transferred his property in his name. She said she had approached the Kahna police with her complaint but they had ignored her. She asked the court to direct the SHO to register a case against Ishtiaq.
