Dukhtar tells the story Allah Rakhi (Samiya Mumtaz) who is given into marriage to a tribal chief Daulat Khan (Asif Khan) at a very young age. Two decades later, Daulat Khan is presented with the opportunity to make peace with a rival tribe leader Tor Gul (Abdullah Jaan), and he seals the deal by offering him his and Allah Rakhi’s daughter Zainab’s (Saleha Aref) hand in marriage.

Tormented at the prospect that her daughter’s life might be a repetition of her own, Allah Rakhi flees with her daughter and is vehemently pursued by henchmen of both the tribes. Allah Rakhi manages to get a lift from a truck driver, Sohail (Mohib Mirza).


The film is an ode to the power of motherhood and depicts how a mother will go against all odds to protect her child.

Dukhtar will be releasing on September 18.
