KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday issued notices to the federal and provincial law enforcement agencies on a petition seeking whereabouts of a private school's head master.

Headed by Justice Ahmed Ali M Sheikh, the two-judge bench directed the deputy attorney-general and provincial advocate-general to file comments of the agencies by September 10.

The petitioner, Umair Anwar, had gone to court to seek whereabouts of his father, Muhammad Essa Anwar. He told the two judges that his father was serving as head master at the Aasanamal Ojha Boys Primary School in Lyari until law enforcers whisked him away on September 29. The family approached the Mochkoh police, where the officials did not entertain the complaint or divulge information about his location, he added.

The petitioner pleaded to the court to direct the law enforcers disclose his father's whereabouts and produce him in the court of law.
