Eleven new cases of dengue were identified in Swat during the last 48 hours, taking the total count to 123 in the district. “Eight patients are presently receiving treatment at the dengue unit of Saidu Teaching Hospital,” said Roshan Ali, focal person for the unit. “One hundred and fifteen patients have been discharged after recovering.” The virus broke out in Swat for the first time last year, affecting over 9,000 people and claiming nearly 40 lives, according to official records.
