Alpuri-besham: Shangla leaders flay state of road
Elders in Shangla district also alleged that substandard material was used in the construction of Besham-Alpuri Road.

The road connecting Alpuri to Besham is in a dilapidated condition, causing many problems for commuters, said Awami National Party district leader Karim Khan. He alleged the contract for the road’s construction was granted to the favoured parliamentarian of the area, as a result of which the road was never evaluated and remains neglected to date. Khan added the road from Khwazakhela to Alpuri was constructed properly but the road from Alpuri to Besham was built using substandard material that led to its deterioration. Elders in Shangla district also alleged that substandard material was used in the construction of Besham-Alpuri Road.
